St. Mary’s Parish in Alexandria is in need of repairs and upgrades to the parish campus that have been deferred because of a lack of funds and the impacts of the COVID pandemic. These four projects are the most urgent:

• Four air conditioning units for the church and Zimmer Hall.
• A new rectory roof.
• Removal and exclusion of the seasonal bat colony in our building.
• Parking lot repair and paving.

We also need to address some badly needed updates in Zimmer Hall, rebuild two retaining walls, relocate the school’s I.T. lab, and renovate a rectory restroom.

The estimated total cost of all these projects is $335,000. To address this financial need, we are initiating a fundraising campaign named, “Our Parish. Our Home. Our Mission.” At the parish Masses on the first two weekends in October, Fr. Tom will be sharing more information and asking for your commitment. You will also be receiving an informational packet in the mail.
