  Our Soup Kitchen is the venerable cornerstone of our food ministries, tracing its roots back to the spring of 1997.
  
  What started with parishioner Ron Cole and a dedicated team of six cooks crafting 12 gallons of soup has evolved into a thriving effort with around 60 passionate volunteers. Together, they whip up an array of comforting soups—chili, vegetable beef, and cream of potato beef—with ingredients sourced from generous donations or purchased with care.
  
  The soup is then transported by a small group of parishioners to the Christian Center, where it warms the souls of our homeless neighbors and anyone in need.
  
  It also journeys to Alternatives, a refuge for women escaping domestic or sexual violence.
  
  Every month, those 60 gallons of soup transform into nourishing meals for approximately 720 people, making a profound difference one bowl at a time.
